Recently, I have been going back to the gym. Prior to the last couple months where I felt like I was religiously skipping working out, I had a year or two where I would go at least three to four times a week, which is good for me, considering my busy schedule. I am not sure what made me take a five or six month break from the gym, but it seemed like because I knew I was not going to go on a schedule, I just completely avoided it in general.

I had my friend Brian write me a workout plan, as I needed something to hold me accountable and give me a reason to go. It was extremely hard on the first week, as I had.to get back in the routine of making time to go. I have been going the last couple weeks, and although it has not been as consistent as I would want it to be, I feel that it has already had a lasting effect on me. Working out helps me clear my mind, especially since my work and school life is quite chaotic.

Being back in a workout routine has helped me feel better throughout the day and work harder. I cannot explain the reason why, but it gives a stronger sense of purpose to my day. It also helps with my diet, as I consciously choose healthier foods to accommodate my lifestyle and my workout gains. I hope to continue on the workout plan and fully get back into a good workout routine.
